HIGHLIGHTS OF The BMW M340i xDrive

Modern cockpit.

With its reduced controls, the cockpit delivers a clean and modern statement. The slim, frameless BMW Curved Display seems to almost hover freely above the instrument panel and, as a touch-capable display unit, offers modern and convenient operability.

Centre console with new selector lever.

The centre console provides a sporty and enclosed seating sensation. This is the location of the clearly structured control centre with the touch-based operating surface of the iDrive Controller The modern gear selection takes place automatically, with the modern look in the interior creating an especially orderly impression.

Leather Vernasca Upholstery.

The BMW M340i features genuine leather Vernasca upholstery. The Black upholstery with constrast stitching in blue with M elements offers a sporty touch.

Front design.

Defining the front design are elegantly styled LED headlights which stand out by virtue of their upside-down L arrangement and their focused contour. In combination with the distinctive kidney grille with Mesh Design, the large hexagonal air inlets deliver a self-assured statement.

Side design.

Due to the long wheelbase, the short overhangs and compact proportions, the new BMW M340i conveys an especially dynamic image in the side view. The flowing contour of the roof line interacts with the 19” wheels to emphasise the elegance of the vehicle.

Rear design.

The distinctive bumper creates an especially athletic appearance for the new BMW M340i. Vertical reflectors and broad tailpipe trims with a chrome element in the M Sport package reinforce this effect. The large diffuser between the tailpipes rounds off the sporty and dynamic look.

BMW Digital Key plus.

With the BMW Digital Key Plus your compatible smartphone becomes a digital key. It helps you unlock your BMW by holding your smartphone next to the handle of the driver’s door and start the vehicle without the use of a key by pressing a button as soon as your smartphone is in the BMW charging cradle. You can also, authorise up to five additional people to use your vehicle.

BMW Head-Up Display.

The full-colour BMW Head-Up Display projects all information relevant to the journey directly into the driver's field of vision.

BMW Curved Display.

Nearly all vehicle functions can be controlled using the large BMW Curved Display. Angled towards the driver and equipped with intuitive widgets, it makes operation by touch even more convenient.

Smartphone Integration.

Why go without the features of your smartphone in your BMW when you can continue operating it as usual? With smartphone integration, your vehicle supports Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto® by means of a wireless connection between your smartphone and the vehicle. This allows you to conveniently use familiar functions and various apps in the vehicle.

M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine.

The M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine combines power and efficiency for a complete driving experience. The sonorous sound of the engine is a delight. Innovations such as double VANOS, Valvetronic, high precision injection technology and twin-pipe turbocharger draw as much energy as possible using as little fuel as possible.

Electrically assisted steering.

The electric servo support for the steering increases both steering comfort and driving safety. It makes manoeuvring easier and guarantees stability at high speeds.

M sport differential.

The M sport differential optimises traction and driving stability when changing lanes or accelerating out of a bend, when taking bends at high speeds or on different road surfaces. Traction is optimised with the help of an electronically operated device that reduces the difference in revolution speed between the rear wheels.

8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission.

The 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission offers incredibly sporty gear changes. Whether automatic or manual using gearshift paddles or gear lever – for comfortable coasting or incredibly dynamic driving. In SPORT mode and with the gear lever in the left-hand S/M position, the gear shifts are configured for the best performance.

M Sport brake.

The M Sport brake has four-piston fixed callipers at the front and single-piston floating callipers at the rear in blue with the M designation and features large brake discs to ensure an outstanding braking performance.

Variable sport steering.

The Variable sport steering with Servotronic creates a direct and agile steering response and ensures that less physical effort is required to turn the wheel. It reacts to the angle of the steering wheel with varying steering ratios. This improves handling when driving more dynamically and reduces the effort needed to steer when parking and turning.

M Adaptive Suspension

With the adaptive M chassis with variable shock absorber adjustment, the characteristics of the chassis can be individually adjusted – from comfortable to particularly sporty with pronounced agile handling. With Driving Experience Control, you can adapt the electronically controlled chassis quickly and easily to the road conditions and driving situation.
